Gulfport, Mississippi
History
The North Gulfport Church of Christ was established in 1951. It has been operating in the North Gulfport Community for over 63 years now. We lost our church building finally after Hurricane Katrina in 2005, but had never recovered from Hurricane Georges in 1998. We have been worshipping in various alternative buildings and locations and even in the Minister's home for over 3 years. It has been a very difficult journey to continue to serve and not have a place to serve from. Our Minister, James D. Harris, Sr. has labored here since 1998 without a real salary as well. God has allowed us to make it til this present time. We have lost so many along the way including the Minister's wonderful wife, Pauline Harris right after Hurricane Katrina. We have been able to feed and clothe others although we have been in need personally, our heart is to make a difference in other people's lives.
Request & Needs

We need to rebuild our building and restore the edifice to it's original footing and status. This will take around $1.2 million dollars as appraised by (3) different contractors, so we are girding up our minds to move to make this happen within the next (2) years. Any and all donations will be appreciated and humbly accepted and used for the purpose it is being gathered for... we will also fortify our Minister, Bro. Harris, Sr. as soon as we can because he has sacrificed beyond measure to keep our church family together. A picture of our members is located on the other side of this writing; so please get to know us that way. We look forward to making this a revived rebirth of the North Gulfport Church of Christ. Feel free to contact us at any of the vitals below. Thank you for reading our request.

North Gulfport Church Family
This is how our bulding looked before we were able to add the bricks on the outside in 2008. It has been a long and arduous journey, but we feel that our destination is just a moment away! We have been out of our building since it was first devastated in 1998 by
Hurricane Georges. Just when we had gotten some momentum,
Hurricane Katrina, then Hurricane Issac brought us to s complete stop and we had no more monies to complete the building.
It is time to return home to this wonderful community and work!
